Á Màrrach Àilean is roughly translated into "The Enchanted Green"

Á Màrrach Àilean (generally called 'AMA' for short) has been around before humans. It is rumored that The City is grounds for all Supernatural things because it is magick itself. Some believe that it was the home of Gods & Goddesses before any flesh being roamed The Mother Earth.

Á Màrrach Àilean is generally located throughout Northern Ireland and Belfast. It includes several large islands off the east coast of Ireland which have been so heavily protected with magick throughout the years that humans hardly knew they existed.
The Country has been home of Supernatural species for longer than humans have existed. In this light, imagine that the country is a good size for a country, but inside it is bigger than possible. It is magick, and so time can run differently and doors can open up to entire worlds.

The Country Government is called "Yn Coyrle Riaghail" /aka/ "The Decalogue Council" it is a collection of people who make up a council who run Á Màrrach Àilean as a whole. Though they cannot literally 'own' many of the lands inside of AMA (such as Faerie, etc) and so they are the embassadors of AMA to the rest of the world. They make laws and they keep the streets safe (and concidering there are a lot of scary preternatural things out there, they do a good job).
The SIA (supernatural intellgence agency) is like the CIA of The Council.

It is not uncommon for a Human to live in AMA. Generally those humans live in the main city (which is the most safe) which is also called Á Màrrach Àilean (think New York, New York.). AMA is a huge tourist attraction, if not the biggest in the world. This also makes it a very rich in the entertainment industries. The Government will regulate the amount of tourists and humans l iving in AMA at a time.
