Personality/Demeanor: Rian is the silent type, but has a sharp tongue and a cunning mind. Can be fiercly passionate, but not many people see that side. Protective of those he holds close. A bad boy to the core. A man of shadows and mystery and darkness. A man of many secrets and great knowledge. The sort to dance with the devil with a smile on his face.
Magickal Talents: Shadow manipulation. Purgatory travel - Rian can travel to the world of limbo with great ease to communicate with spirits there. If he wishes, he can push a spirit into Purgatory even if that is not their original destination - or can take one away.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Moody - Rian can go from a good mood to a bad on in a flash, and little things can set him off. A loner by nature, he often has trouble working with others. His daughter is also a weakness.

Appearance: Like he stepped from a shadow - which he probably did. Tall and nicely built. Has blood red hair that falls over his forehead and ears, the darkest of reds. Midnight blue eyes that often look black. A brooding look is often on his face. Handsome in a careless way, like he just doesn't care. Dark and a bit unnerving sometimes.
Voice: Dark, haunting, sharply amused and a little bit scary. Laced with the echos of spirits of the damned.

+History+
Rian was born 200 passes after his brother Tierney. His brother was bright and full of life, and Rian seemed to be the complete opposite. He was a quiet child, and prefered to hang out in the shadows while his brother played in the sunshine. Two children as different as they were hard to find.
To say that Rian had a interest in the dead early on is an understatement. As a child, when others would mourn fallen birds and forest animals, Rian would inspect them carefully, trying to discern what had happened. He became facisnated with spirits and the spirit world, and the magick that surrounded it.
He joined House Kione to further this interest, and to hone his abilities. Rian spent as much time as he could in contact with the spirit world, staying in the living world only enough to stay sane and in one piece. He had a few affairs here and there, but none that were of any importance to him or his life. Not until fifty short years ago, at any rate.
It was towards the end of the 20th century that Rian met Queen Aristara. Like any hot blooded male he was entranced with her, and the two had a short fling, which resulted in a daughter. Rian had never had any interest in children before, but when Danika was born, that all changed. He loved his daughter in a way that he hadn't loved anyone before, and was content to raise her. He made sure that she had equal contact with her mother, so that she could embrace her Royal roots.
During the Third Court Wars, he spirited her away, keeping her safe from harm. When the dust had settled, he brought her back to Ireland. Rian knows that Danika is aware of her mother's whereabouts, but he doesn't ask. The leader of his House had disappeared during the War, and Rian took that opportunity to step into the position of power and has been leading House Kione ever since.
